Of One Heart
Cornelis Kruseman was sometimes called ‘Italian Kruseman’ owing to his love for Italian art. After spending time in Rome (1821-1825), he worked in the Netherlands in the idealized style that he knew from Italy. This trio of young musicians in folk costume is a fine example of this.
