Foundry of propellers
Foundry of ship propellers
Week number 47-43
Impression of the production of propellers in the Lips foundry in Drunen. First, a mold and a cast are made. The mould is poured out of a ladle full of liquid manganese bronze. After cooling, the mould is chopped away and the raw propeller, destined for the ship "Willem Ruys", is transported to the turning shop to be finished smoothly.
