Amsterdam police crack down on cycle thefts

Action by the crime prevention bureau of the Amsterdam police to dispose of discarded bicycles. Broken bicycles are loaded into a truck and transported to a storage facility. Private persons try to find their bicycle among the 2500 bicycles in the park and dealers in old iron buy the rest. Thanks to this action, the number of bicycle thefts has fallen by 23%.
