In Castricum a house has been moved
Weeknummer 52-37
In Castricum some older houses stand in the way of new building plans. The cheapest solution to the problem appears to be to relocate the older houses. Shots of this "move" in which a house, cut loose from its foundation and fitted with an externally mounted steel sledge, is moved horizontally by dragging the sledge, and with it the house, slowly over grease-lubricated wooden beams.
