Maize harvest near Apeldoorn
Weeknummer 48-43
In the Apeldoorn area, the corn is ripe for harvesting. Two methods of harvesting were shown: first the old method in which a group of farm workers removes the cobs from the stalks one by one by hand and collects them in baskets; then the modern method in which two men on a tractor with a special agricultural machine do the same job in a very short time with a fraction of the effort.
