In the Surinamese capital Paramaribo, EC development funds were used to invest in health care: a pharmaceutical factory trains girls to become pharmacist's assistants and a training course was started for youth dental assistants. SHOTS: ext. and int. pharmaceutical factory in Paramaribo; children being vaccinated; dentist teaching aspiring youth dental nurse; int. polyclinic; ext. hospital.
