My great granduncle, Herbert Grant, was born in Charlemont Mall, Dublin, Ireland in 1895. He went to Canada in 1911. He seems to have gone to Michigan and then back to Canada where he joined the Canadian Expeditionary Force. He was in the 5th Field Ambulance Force, "C" Section. He fought and died at the Somme.
