Jan Baptist Bols was born in Rotselaar on 03.10.1889. During the First World War, Jan was a soldier with the 4th regiment of fighters on foot. On 11 October 1914 he joined the Belgian army as a volunteer. He signed a contract to remain a soldier until the end of the war. Because he had not served in the military, Jan was first sent to a training center. He arrived at the front on February 13, 1915…
