21st Heavy Battery Royal Garrison Artillery
My father, Lawrence Fowler was born on the 23rd May 1894, and died 8th June 1973. He was in Mounted Artillery 21 H.B. RGA [21st Heavy Battery Royal Garrison Artillery]. He was gassed at some point during the war. Although it is uncertain where he served, the postcard suggests Ypres.
His pay book was opened 30th August 1916, at first receiving 10 shillings per month.
