The opposition to wind power in Urbania (Pesaro e Urbino)
SERIES TITLE: Environment Italy
The citizens of Urbania abolished by referendum the creation of a wind farm close to their town believing that this would have scarred the landscape. Landscape was the backdrop to many paintings of Leonardo Da Vinci and Raphael, and citizens want to protect it.
