Malign Muses : when fashion turns back
Malign Muses looked at how contemporary fashion incorporates the past as a disruptive muse. It showed a repertoire of repetitions, both incantatory and idealised. We never fully know our muses and their effects are always unpredictable. In this exhibition we looked for clues in the details of the dresses themselves. As we fathomed the rules, we also discovered what united the dresses.
